Coinify Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Coinify collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal data when you use the Coinify website, mobile applications, user-generated database, coin and banknote identification tools, automated grading and estimated pricing tools, blog articles, subscriptions, and internal marketplace.
Important Information
Coinify may collect information that you provide directly, information generated by your use of the Service, information about your device and app activity, and information needed to support marketplace transactions, security, fraud prevention, customer support, analytics, and subscriptions. This notice explains processing; it is not a substitute for consent where consent is required.
1. Personal Data Controller
Sagrathor L.L.C-FZ, with the registered office at Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al, Dubai, UAE, is the controller of your personal data for purposes described in this Privacy Policy unless stated otherwise.
2. Categories of Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal data in the following categories.
- Information you provide directly. This may include your email address, account details, username, profile information, support communications, marketplace messages, shipping information, billing-related information, watchlists, collection information, and any information you submit through forms or customer support.
- Coin, banknote, and catalog content you submit. This may include coin and banknote images, scans, photos, listing content, collection entries, corrections to coin and banknote metadata, comments, descriptions, offers, and other user-generated database contributions.
- Marketplace and transaction information. This may include information about listings, offers, purchases, sales, order history, shipping status, payout status, refund or dispute information, and information necessary to complete a transaction.
- Identification-related inputs. If you use image-based coin and banknote identification features, we may process photos of coin faces or banknote sides, visible serial numbers or inscriptions, image metadata, and generated identification, condition, grading, and pricing results. Camera or photo-library permissions are used for features you choose.
- Device and technical information. This may include IP address, language settings, time zone, device type and model, operating system, app version, mobile carrier, network type, hardware identifiers, crash data, and diagnostic information.
- Usage information. We may collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as the features you use, pages, blog articles, or screens you view, searches, clicks, sessions, subscription events, and in-app actions.
- Approximate location information. We may infer approximate location from IP address. If you grant permission, we may also process more precise device location where relevant for specific features.
- Advertising and attribution identifiers. Depending on your device settings and permissions, this may include Apple’s IDFA, Android advertising identifiers, attribution data, and campaign or referrer information.
- Information from third parties. We may receive information from app stores, analytics providers, payment processors, fraud-prevention providers, and marketplace or advertising partners as necessary to operate the Service.
Photograph the collectible rather than faces, identity documents, addresses, or payment details. Images can reveal backgrounds or location metadata. Information visible in public listings may be copied by other users. A scan or private collection is not made public merely because you use an identification feature; choosing to publish a listing or contribution shares its content.
3. How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the Service. This includes account creation, login, hosting, app functionality, identification tools, collection features, user-generated database features, search, subscriptions, and customer support.
- To operate the marketplace. This includes enabling listings, offers, purchases, seller and buyer communications, payments or payout workflows, transaction fulfillment, dispute handling, and fraud prevention.
- To process user-generated content. This includes hosting, displaying, indexing, matching, moderating, and improving coin and banknote images, catalog edits, listings, and other submissions.
- To provide coin and banknote identification, grading, and estimated pricing tools. This includes processing uploaded images and associated metadata to generate candidate matches, condition or grading estimates, comparable data, estimated prices, and collection analytics.
- To personalize your experience. This includes tailoring content, search results, recommendations, notifications, and feature presentation.
- To communicate with you. This includes account notices, transaction-related communications, support responses, security alerts, service messages, and, where permitted, marketing communications.
- To analyze and improve the Service. This includes analytics, debugging, product development, A/B testing, performance monitoring, quality assurance, and understanding user behavior.
- To protect the Service and enforce our terms. This includes fraud detection, abuse prevention, moderation, rights enforcement, account integrity, payment-risk review, and legal compliance.
- To comply with legal obligations. This includes responding to lawful requests, tax or accounting obligations, and recordkeeping requirements.
4. Legal Bases for Processing Personal Data (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract. We process data as necessary to provide the Service, manage accounts, operate subscriptions, process marketplace transactions, and respond to support requests.
- Legitimate interests. We process data where necessary for our legitimate interests in improving the Service, preventing fraud, protecting users, securing the platform, operating the user-generated database, analyzing use of the Service, and marketing the Service in a measured way, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent. We obtain consent where required for optional tracking, marketing, or other processing. Device permissions control access to the camera or photo library; they do not by themselves authorize unrelated uses of the data.
- Legal obligation. We process data when necessary to comply with applicable law, lawful governmental requests, accounting rules, tax obligations, or regulatory requirements.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- access personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion of your data, subject to legal and operational exceptions;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- request portability of certain data; and
- lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@sportscoutapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
To request account and associated-data deletion, email support from the account address with the subject “Coinify account deletion,” or follow the deletion instructions. Do not send passwords or full payment details. We use proportionate identity verification and respond within applicable statutory deadlines, explaining any lawful extension or refusal. Where available, you may appeal a refusal through support or complain to your local authority. We do not penalize you for exercising privacy rights.
Deleting an account does not automatically cancel app-store subscriptions; use the cancellation instructions. Identification and grading outputs concern collectibles rather than decisions about your legal rights. Contact support to question an output or processing affecting you and request any review available under applicable law.
7. Age Limitation
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
8. International Data Transfers
We may transfer personal data to countries other than the country where the data was originally collected. Processing may take place in the UAE and other countries where our providers operate. Contact support for information about relevant destinations and a copy or description of applicable transfer safeguards. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain accounts, operate the user-generated database and marketplace, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and maintain relevant business records.
Some user-generated content, catalog contributions, and transaction records may need to be retained longer than your active account period for marketplace integrity, fraud prevention, audit trails, legal defense, tax/accounting purposes, or the consistency of our database, subject to applicable law.
Account and collection data are retained while needed for your account; scans and generated results while needed for the requested features; support and diagnostic records while needed to resolve issues and protect the service; and transaction records for applicable tax, accounting, dispute, or fraud-prevention periods. When a purpose ends, data is deleted or anonymized unless a lawful retention duty applies. Backups are removed through their retention cycle and are not used for ordinary active processing. On a deletion request, we explain categories retained and the applicable reason; a content license does not override your privacy rights.
11. Advertising and Analytics Choices
We may use analytics and attribution providers such as Firebase, AppsFlyer, Amplitude, and similar tools to understand usage, measure campaign performance, diagnose issues, and improve the Service.
Depending on your device, jurisdiction, and settings, you may also be able to limit advertising tracking, reset advertising identifiers, or opt out of certain interest-based advertising through your device or platform settings. Push notifications can generally be managed through your device settings.
Legacy “Do Not Track” signals do not replace the choices described here. Where applicable law requires recognition of opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control, those signals must be honored for covered sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. You may also contact us to exercise an applicable opt-out right.
12. California Privacy Disclosures
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under applicable California privacy laws, including rights to know, access, delete, and correct certain personal information, and the right to limit or opt out of certain sharing or uses where applicable. These rights are subject to legal exceptions.
You may submit a privacy request by contacting support@sportscoutapp.com. Authorized agents may submit requests subject to legally permitted verification. Verification is proportionate to the request and is not required for opt-outs where law forbids it. You may request information about categories, purposes, recipients, and applicable sale or sharing, and opt out where applicable. These rights apply to the extent the business and processing are covered by the relevant law.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by posting the updated version on this page, updating the “Last updated” date, or using other appropriate means. The updated notice applies from its effective date. Where a new purpose requires consent, we request that consent separately; continued use alone does not supply it.
