Coinify Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Coinify website, mobile applications, user-generated database, coin and banknote identification tools, automated grading, estimated pricing, blog articles, subscriptions, and internal marketplace.
Important Notice Regarding Subscriptions
Coinify offers automatically renewing subscriptions. Review Subscription Terms, Cancellation, and Refunds and Money-Back Policy before purchase. Cancel through the purchase platform before renewal; Apple trials should be canceled at least 24 hours before they end. Deleting the app or your account does not itself cancel store billing.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Coinify website, mobile applications, marketplace, catalog, user-generated database, price tracking tools, collection tools, image-based identification and grading tools, estimated pricing, blog articles, subscriptions, and any related content, features, products, and services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Sagrathor L.L.C-FZ, with the registered office at Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al, Dubai, UAE (“Coinify,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data processing. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date. To the extent permitted by law, continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If a translation of these Terms conflicts with the English-language version, the English-language version controls, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
2. Description of the Service
Coinify is a subscription-based app for identifying coins and banknotes from photos, obtaining automated condition and grading estimates, reviewing estimated prices, managing collections, reading numismatic blog articles, and using an internal marketplace. Features and usage limits depend on the plan, platform, and region shown before purchase.
Coinify provides informational tools. It does not physically inspect, authenticate, encapsulate, or professionally certify items. It is not a currency exchange, investment adviser, broker, bank, auction house, or escrow service. Unless a listing expressly identifies us as the seller, the buyer and seller contract with each other.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service generally. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use the marketplace, create listings, make purchases, receive payouts, or otherwise engage in transactions.
If you create an account, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must promptly notify us of any suspected unauthorized access or security incident involving your account.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts, listings, submissions, or access to the Service at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk or potential legal exposure, engaged in fraud or abuse, infringed another party’s rights, or harmed the integrity of the Service.
4. User-Generated Database and User Content
Coinify includes a user-generated database. Users may submit, upload, post, transmit, store, or otherwise provide content through the Service, including coin and banknote images, scans, photos, item descriptions, catalog edits, metadata, corrections, collection data, messages, usernames, profile information, listings, comments, and other materials (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of User Content you submit, as between you and Coinify.
However, by submitting User Content, you grant Coinify and its affiliates, service providers, sublicensees, successors, and assigns a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, format, publish, translate, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, and otherwise use that User Content for the purposes of operating, improving, securing, and providing the Service, including the catalog, marketplace, search, matching, fraud prevention, moderation, and support functions.
This license is limited to those purposes and to the visibility settings of your submission. Private scans, collections, and messages are not licensed for public advertising by this clause. It ends when content is deleted, except for copies reasonably needed for backups, legal duties, resolving disputes, or content you shared that remains in other users’ lawful use, subject to the retention rules. This license does not itself constitute privacy consent or permission for unrelated AI training.
You represent and warrant that:
- you own or control all rights necessary to submit the User Content and to grant the rights described in these Terms;
- your User Content and our use of it as authorized by these Terms will not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any copyright, trademark, trade dress, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other right of any person or entity;
- your User Content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, defamatory, obscene, unlawful, or abusive; and
- if you upload images of coins, banknotes, or collectibles, you have the right to upload and authorize Coinify to display and use those images as provided in these Terms.
You understand and agree that all User Content is the sole responsibility of the user who submitted it. Coinify does not guarantee that any user-submitted content, catalog entry, listing, image, description, or message is accurate, complete, lawful, authentic, available, safe, or non-infringing.
We may, but are not obligated to, review, monitor, remove, edit, reject, disable access to, or preserve any User Content at our sole discretion.
5. Identification, Grading, Estimated Prices, and Blog Articles
Image recognition and automated grading can produce incorrect, incomplete, or inconsistent results. Lighting, image quality, hidden damage, wear, cleaning, repairs, alterations, mint marks, varieties, reproduction notes, and counterfeit items can affect results. An image result cannot establish authenticity, metal content, provenance, ownership, legal tender status, or a certified grade.
A grade or condition score is an automated opinion, not a certificate or a substitute for physical examination by a qualified numismatist or independent grading service. A reference to a grading scale or third-party certification does not imply affiliation, endorsement, or that Coinify has verified a slab, label, serial number, or certificate. Sellers must distinguish Coinify estimates from independently certified grades and disclose known defects and alterations.
Estimated prices, ranges, collection totals, historical sales, and asking prices are informational indications, not offers, guaranteed sale proceeds, formal appraisals, or investment, tax, or insurance advice. Asking prices are not completed sales. Estimates may be based on incomplete or outdated data and vary by condition, authenticity, rarity, location, currency, demand, and market liquidity. Shipping, fees, duties, and taxes can affect the amount actually paid or received. No minimum value, buyer, sale, profit, or accuracy level is promised.
Blog articles and collecting guides are educational and may contain opinions, errors, or outdated information. They do not replace item-specific examination or professional advice. Sponsored or affiliate content, where present, will be identified. Cleaning, restoration, or storage techniques can damage collectibles; assess the item and obtain qualified advice before acting.
Verify important details independently before buying, selling, insuring, cleaning, or submitting an item for grading. Report suspected errors through support. These limitations do not remove remedies for services that fail to meet applicable consumer-law requirements.
You may use information for your own collecting and ordinary marketplace activity. Do not commercially redistribute protected catalog, pricing, or article content without permission, except as allowed by law.
6. Marketplace Terms
The marketplace is a venue that allows users to list, offer, buy, and sell eligible coins and banknotes with one another. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Coinify is not the buyer or seller of listed items and is not a party to the contract of sale between users.
Any sale contract is formed solely between the buyer and the seller. Coinify only provides tools and infrastructure to facilitate listings, discovery, communication, payment facilitation where available, and related marketplace functions.
Coinify does not control and does not guarantee:
- the existence, quality, authenticity, legality, condition, safety, or value of any item;
- the accuracy of listings, messages, or user profiles;
- that a buyer will complete a transaction or that a seller will ship an item;
- that any item is genuine, graded correctly, free from defects, or owned by the seller; or
- the identity, authority, solvency, or conduct of any user.
Users are solely responsible for their own transactions, including listing accuracy, legality, authenticity, shipping, insurance, export/import compliance, taxes, payment obligations, and dispute handling, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise.
Sellers agree to:
- list only items they have the legal right to sell;
- provide accurate descriptions and images of listed items;
- disclose material defects, alterations, restorations, grading issues, ownership restrictions, and known authenticity concerns;
- fulfill sales promptly and in accordance with the listing terms; and
- comply with all applicable laws, payment-processor rules, tax requirements, and shipping requirements.
Buyers agree to:
- review listings carefully before purchase;
- pay all amounts due, including applicable shipping, taxes, duties, and fees; and
- comply with applicable laws.
We may remove listings, delay or restrict transactions, hold payouts where permitted, or require additional verification if we suspect fraud, illegality, infringement, policy violations, manipulation, chargeback risk, or other harmful conduct.
Collectible and transaction rules
No counterfeit currency, deceptive replicas, stolen property, unlawfully excavated or exported cultural objects, or items prohibited by applicable currency, sanctions, import, or export laws may be listed. Do not use Coinify for money laundering, currency-exchange services, or investment schemes. Images and reproductions of currency must comply with applicable reproduction laws; owning a physical item does not necessarily grant rights in its design.
Sellers must identify whether they act as a private individual or a business, describe the exact item, disclose known cleaning, restoration, damage, authenticity concerns, and any independently certified grade, and state price and currency, delivery terms, fees, and any return policy before agreement. Business sellers must provide legally required identity and consumer-rights information. Buyers should verify seller identity and item details and keep transaction records.
Marketplace access included in a subscription does not include the price of any physical item, shipping, insurance, taxes, or separately disclosed transaction fees. Any payment, payout, shipping, or buyer-protection facility applies only if expressly offered for that transaction. Coinify does not promise escrow, insurance, authentication, delivery, or buyer protection merely because a listing appears in the app.
Physical-item cancellations, returns, non-delivery, and authenticity disputes are separate from app subscription refunds. Contact the seller first and use the payment provider’s dispute process where available; report suspected fraud or unlawful listings to support with the listing identifier and evidence. Mandatory consumer rights apply to purchases from business sellers where required by law; purchases from private sellers may have different protections.
We may investigate reports and moderate listings or accounts, giving reasons and an opportunity to challenge a decision through support where required by law. These terms do not exclude our own legal duties as a marketplace operator.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use the Service to:
- violate any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right;
- submit false, misleading, or fraudulent content or listings;
- list counterfeit, stolen, unauthorized, or illegal items;
- infringe copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, rights of publicity, privacy rights, or other intellectual property rights;
- manipulate prices, bids, ratings, reviews, collections, watchlists, search ranking, or marketplace metrics;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or extract data from the Service by automated means except as expressly authorized in writing;
- use bots or other automation to access the Service in a way that imposes unreasonable load or circumvents technical measures;
- upload malicious code or engage in phishing, spam, abuse, harassment, threats, money laundering, or other fraudulent or harmful conduct;
- collect personal information about other users without authorization; or
- circumvent fees, moderation, enforcement actions, or geographic or account restrictions.
Violations may result in content removal, listing cancellation, account suspension, account termination, payment holds, legal reporting, and other enforcement action.
8. Intellectual Property Complaints and Takedowns
Coinify respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, you may contact us using the contact information provided in these Terms or through any rights-reporting mechanism we make available. We may request information reasonably necessary to investigate the complaint, including proof of rights ownership, the specific content at issue, and the basis for the complaint.
We may remove or disable access to content, suspend accounts, cancel listings, or take other action in response to rights complaints, court orders, repeat infringement, or suspected violations. We may also forward a complaint to the affected user.
Submitting knowingly false or misleading complaints is prohibited and may create legal liability.
9. Third-Party Services and Payment Processors
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, services, tools, APIs, app stores, advertising partners, logistics providers, identity-verification providers, payment processors, grading services, marketplaces, or other third-party resources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, availability, or actions.
If payments, payouts, subscriptions, or in-app purchases are processed through Apple, Google, Stripe, PayPal, or any other third party, your use of those services may be subject to separate terms and policies imposed by those providers.
10. Fees, Subscriptions, and Payments
Before you authorize payment, the purchase screen identifies the price and currency, billing interval, included features and limits, any trial duration and conversion price, renewal terms, and applicable taxes or fees. A paid subscription does not guarantee identification or grading accuracy, a market value, or a marketplace sale.
Recurring charges require your purchase authorization. Price changes require notice and any consent required by law or the billing platform. Cancellation, refunds, and withdrawal rights are governed by Subscription Terms, Cancellation, and Refunds and Money-Back Policy. Those policies govern their specific topics; mandatory law prevails over all these documents. Any more favorable express purchase promise will be honored.
We may restrict paid access for a failed payment or substantiated abuse, subject to applicable law and any required notice. A good-faith refund request does not itself constitute abuse.
11. Taxes
Users are solely responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting any taxes, duties, tariffs, customs charges, withholding obligations, or similar governmental assessments arising from their use of the marketplace or other monetized features, except where applicable law requires Coinify to do so.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service, all content, all user content, all marketplace functionality, all identification results, and all price or value information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
Coinify disclaims all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.
Without limiting the foregoing, Coinify does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, available at any particular time or location, free of viruses or harmful components, or that any identification, matching, value, pricing, or market data will be accurate, reliable, current, complete, or suitable for your purposes.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coinify and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, licensors, service providers, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coinify shall not be liable for any user content, listings, transactions, fraud, counterfeits, misidentifications, misestimated values, payment failures, shipping losses, grading disputes, market losses, or the acts or omissions of any user or third party.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to Coinify for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) USD 100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence where protected by law, or mandatory consumer remedies.
14. Indemnification
This section applies only to business users, to the extent permitted by law, for third-party claims caused by their unlawful acts or material breach. It does not require consumers to indemnify us and does not cover losses caused by our own fault.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Coinify and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, service providers, and agents from and against any claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:
- your use of the Service;
- your User Content;
- your listings, transactions, or disputes with other users;
- your violation of these Terms or any applicable law; or
- your infringement or misappropriation of any third-party rights.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you violated these Terms, created legal risk, engaged in fraud or abuse, or if we otherwise determine it is necessary to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.
Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect, including without limitation provisions relating to licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, payment obligations, and dispute-related provisions.
Where required, we provide notice, reasons, and an opportunity to contest restrictions. If we discontinue a paid service or terminate it without your breach, you retain any refund or other remedy required by law for the unused paid period. Account closure does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription; follow the cancellation instructions. You can request account deletion under the Privacy Policy.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by the laws applicable in the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law, the competent courts of Dubai, UAE, shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If you are a consumer residing in a jurisdiction that grants you non-waivable local consumer rights, those rights remain unaffected to the extent required by applicable law.
